Interested in a player that can output PS on VGA rather than component.

AFAIK there is only one model - Philips DVDR1000MKII that has PS output on VGA. Are there any players that can do the job?

Alternatively is there a cost effective solution to take the PS feed from component to VGA input of my projector?

    Thanks

    Olli

Check out the Primare V25. See www.primaresystems.com

There is at least one happy owner on this forum, try a search.

Yeah I'd also recommend a Primare V25. You can get the firmware upgrade for PAL progressive for it yourself from http://www.whatvideotv.com , unless you buy it already modified.

    Thanks for the replies.

Either it is a bit expensive (transcoder connector around £350 or Primare player around £1000) or it is really a low budget (£88 for Aria player - correspondingly poor display properties). Guess I will have to wait a bit long to see if something in the mid-range shows up.

    Thanks again.

Skyworth and Nintaus are Asian brands which feature VGA output and some models have Faroudja's DCDI which is very good deinterlacer.
And this is real RGBHV "VGA" output, not some converted component->VGA.

Skyworth 1050p (vga model) is out of stock. There is one UK dealer - laservision.co.uk who has a basic skyworth model which won't do, but he offers vga prog scan through an unknown chinese make called Kebao PD VD-KB2089. Any knowledge on Laservision or Kebao?
