When playing DVDs, is the output from a DV79 always in progressive scan? If so, can it be changed to allow another unit to do the same job?

    Thanks,

    Geoffrey

You can choose to output interlaced or progressive scan from the on-screen set up menu, on both component video and HDMI. The only caveat is that both must be the same, i.e. the player cannot simultaneously support interlaced from some outputs and progressive from others. Composite and s-video will be disabled if you choose progressive scan.

    Hope this helps,
