    Ok.
MY dvd player is a pioneer dvd757ai. It is connected to my panasonic viera via componet input. The player will out put a progresive signal when playing back an NTSC disc. When I switch it to this mode I get more of the wild green pixel effect on screen than I do if I am using standard interlased and letting the plasma do the proccesing. In effect a feature on my player is actually making the picture on the plasma worse not better  any Idears why this might be. Would a better set of leads help? Are the vieras not very good when actually reciving a progresive scan signal? Is it time to up grade the dvd player!! :D :D
Any help guys would be apreciated.
    Cheers.
    Dave.

If you have calibrated your set for interlaced, you will need to recalibrate for progressive input. Brightness would appear different between the two. Not sure if this will make the green effect disappear.

my philips dvdr75 has a setting to "restore NTSC black level"
but no component output. All we need is a dvd player with both!
