I have just purchased a Samsung SP43W6HLX, which came with a Home cinema set - Samsung HTDS110RH.

I bought a Component cable set by monster and hooked it all up.

    The picture quality is great.

But very infrequently i get a flicker on the screen. This can be the bottom half of the screen, the bottom third or the full screen.

This happens sporadically and effects all DVDs. It doesnt happen at any other time (playing Xbox, watching tv etc etc)

All of the settings seem to be correct, the DVD is set to P.Scan and the tv's scan mode is set to Progressive (i changed it from auto because i though that might be causeing the problem).

And im stuck. I have phoned samsung, and they told me to check the dvd player on another TV, but i dont know anyone with a TV capable of P Scan.

Im stumped, its driving me nuts.

Bear in mind that these flickers are very quick, my girlfriend doesnt notice them half the time.

    Thanks for any help.
