    Hi there

I wonder if anyone could kindly explain or clarify the following for me:

I am thinking of getting a Sony GX300 DVD recorder which says it has "cinema progessive scan" - Now, I have a Sony KV32CS70 100hz 32" widescreen tv - not progressive scan I guess?

So, would I notice any difference when using this machine picture quality wise? I would think not...?

And if anyone could kindly briefly explain progressive scan I would be grateful

    Cheers

    Paul

To benefit from progressive scan you need to have component video inputs on the TV (in addition to SCART)and it has to support progressive scan (usually a Plasma, LCD or projector) Therefore it is unlikely you will benefit from it with your current screen - however if you intend to change it in the near future it would be worth considering as the improvement in picture is significant in my opinion.
