I am thinking about buying a player capable of outputting both PAL and NTSC progressive, somewhere in the £250 to £400 price range.
I am looking at either the Harman Kardon DVD25 or Sony's DVP-NS930V.
Has anyone seen the Sony in action? How does it compare to the HK?
Should I forget these two and go for an entirely different model?

    Cheers for any help.

HK has the best colour balance I've ever seen on any player. Ability to resolve details is respectable.

But it has bloody awful aesthetic appeal and the sound quality isn't anything special.

Can't comment on the Sony but it's a Sony so it'll more than likely have a solid performance/aesthetic appeal

Hi there - i have a SOny NS930 on order so should have it within about 2 weeks - i'll post findings when i get it. I currently have a NS900 feeding my Sony HS1 projector so it'll be an interesing comparison when i get my hands on the player.

    Regards,
    Mick
