I've read somewhere that scart sockets doesn't have high enough bandwith to deliver a progressive signal (which is the only socket RGB comes in, i think), hence the reason why pal progressive is only available in component mode via phono cables. Anyone who can confirm this?

Also, anyone knows why the refresh rate for progressive mode is set to 50hz(or was it 75hz?), and not 100hz?

The thought of a 36" telly showing prog.scan in 50hz sounds both awesome and horrible, in a twisted kind of way.. :)
