    Hi criggy!

    Sorry to hear about your problems with using progressive scan - it sounds very similar to the interference lines I experienced when I bought a PF2 recently... :(

    I'm currently at work, so can't write too detailed a reply, ;) , but if you do a search on this forum for '36zp38', you'll find the thread that I started - although my problem is using my Denon 2900 DVD player in progressive mode...

    To cut a long story short, myself and others have experienced the same problem with the 36" that you are now experiencing on the 32" model. I'm afraid the general concensus so far is that the problem is inherent in the PF2 itself (and therefore NOT the DVD player), and so the resolution boils down to one of 3 options;

    1. Swap the telly for another model (ie. NOT a Tosh PF2 - the Panasonic Acuity PD30 range are getting very favourable comments, although they are also not without their problems!! This, however, is the route that I'm currently going to take...)

    2. Put up with it!!!

    3. If you read the thread I referred you to above, you'll see that Toshiba are now apparently acknowledging the problem and are offering to fix a new part to the current batch of faulty TVs. Whether this is something that you would qualify for, or even be prepared to accept, is something I suppose you'll have to contact Toshiba over yourself...

    Sorry to be the bearer of bad tidings, or if that post has made me sound uninterested, because I'm not - I remember how disappointed I was upon first seeing the lines and so my heart goes out to you!! It's just that I have to be blunt and tell you that I don't think you're going to find a quick 'n' easy fix for this, so unless you're prepared to live with the lines, I'm afraid you're going to have to dig your receipt out in the near future... :(

    Sorry!, but good luck with getting it sorted out. :smashin:

    Please keep us posted as to how you get on. :hiya:

    cheers for the reply bananaman

    i will read your post in a minute

    if toshiba know about this problem then i think i will email them

    and ask an engineer to pay a visit and put the new part in

    because apart from this one problem the tv is excellent

    again cheers bananaman (i nearly booked an apointment with
    vision express!!!)
