    Hi,

Just brought an Arcam FMJ27A to go along with my AV8 /P7 set up but am having trouble with the prog scan on my hitachi plasma.

When I try to use the prog scan outputs the top of the picture becomes blurry. I know my plasma accepts prog scan input but have heard that some plasma's need a vertical / horizontal sync.

Anyone know how I should set that up? or has anyone else had a similar problem

This may well be better suited to the DVD Player forum...

hi i might be wrong but i dont think its your dvd player fault, your hitachi plasma has a ALIS screen which if i`m right prefers interlaced signals to progressive ,

why not post the question on the plasma threads aswell?

You may need to check the setup on the DV27 as to how it is putting out its prog scan/sync *and* the setup for the inputs on the plasma ...

Are you using phono, or bnc or vga for input into the plasma ?

does the cabkle have separate composite/h & v sync leads ?

I had to make sure both were setup the same ... btw I use 3 x phono for component out of the DV27 into the AV8 and then 3 x phono from AV8 to plasma (with three phono>bnc converters on the end) ... set to sync on green ...
