I would be running a Panny AE100 from a Sony DVD player and Sky Digibox via s-video cable.

There is only one s-video cable as the devices concerned are switched via my AV amplifier.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I would put money on the de interlacer in the panasoinc being far to superior to the de-interlacer in the link you provided.

I think unless you are going to add somthing like a lumagen or better then you would be wqasting your money mate.

    OK, cheers for the information.

Have to save up for the iscan or similar!

I have spotted a Prov+ for sale that seems tempting and more in my price range.

I would have still thought that you would be better with a scaler that matches the native resolution of the projector.
I think that the scaler is a major problem on the Panny, I would look at saving for a lumagen or waiting for one to come up second hand.

Or maybe spend the money on a better projector, you will see bigger gains by using a PJ with a decent interlacer and scaler and a higher contrast ratio than you will probbably spending the same amount of money on scalers etc.

I gave up and went CRT, got sick of trying to get an image that was already out there, by buying bits for my DLP.
Depends if you have the room though.
