Anyone here used the new Pro-scan board for the Proceed PMDT DVD transport? (suppose on Gordon may have.)

Seems to be quite good as it will take an external component, s-video or composite video and process that as well as the video from the DVD it's self.

Also when will we see PAL Pro-scan on players? It's available on the Denon DVD 2800 as a hack, when on the Arcam Dv27 and upgraded Dv88?

    John Dawson?

    Cheers for any extra info!

    Rick

We're still waiting on our a working disc for our dem 2800 to hack it. Current one switches off RGB output so we're not doing it yet.

We don't carry Proceed. Had a look at a PAV 5 years ago. It took over 3 months and plenty of phone calls to get one to listen to and when it did turn up it was broken. Please don't think I'm saying all Madrigal stuff is crap as I'm sure it's not but as a dealer we have to work with manufacturers and distributors to make sure that the quality of service our customers get is TOP. This just wasn't the case at that point.

Still it does sound interesting. Does it do aspect ratio control for incoming 4:3 and letterbox sources as well?

Gordon: Path Premier who distribute the Proceed gear are in an industrial estate just around the corner, so that is useful.

We should have the PDMT is soon so will be able to give a short review.
