problems with the second ps3 controller

    ive just bought th ps3 WOW what a great console

    when i was playing PES8 i can play single player no problem but when i try to connect a second controller, a battery powered one it doesnt connect and the four lights just keeping flashing. anyone got any ideas?

    plug it with the usb cable as its the first time you connecting it. then it should sync :thumbsup:

    I have tried several times connecting the controllers with the USB lead, but they still cannot connect wirelessly. Any ideas

    Try the controller reset button on the underside. There's a pic on page 1 of the "ps3 hardware issues and resolutions" sticky at the top of this forum.

    I have tried holding and pressing the button and then connecting the control via USB but still doesn't work. Could it be because they are 6-axis?

    Does it work when the pad is connected to the ps3 via the usb cable?

    I have a problem sometimes with one of my pads (only now and again it loses sync), works fine wired but then goes back to flashing as soon as the wire is took out.

    To sort it I make sure the ps3 is on and loaded, attach the pad to the ps3 with the usb cable, turn the pad on, leave it charging for 2mins, turn the pad off, take the cable out, then turn the pad on again but wirelessly and everything works fine. Had to do this a few times and every time is works a treat.

    Hope this works for you bud, although you have probably been through all this

    one of mates has the same problem .....
    we've trying to sync using his sons controller
    but never got it to work.....
    i'll give this try ...
