    Hi,
having a few problems with the HTPC thing......I've setup
my custom resolution/timings in Powerstrip and saved them and
my only problem is that if I boot the computer while its connected
to the projector it won't allow me to select the 856x640
resolution, but I can select it no problem if I boot tothe monitor
and just unplug that and connect to the projector.
I'm running a Geforce2 GTS pro with the latest driver and powerstrip 3.30
Any help would be great.....killing my back lugging the pc and that
monitor down stairs everytime I want to have a look.

    Cheers.....

What monitor have you told Windows you have connected? I found I had to set the monitor type to be one of the Sony widescreen ones - is it 950W or something? (sorry, not at the HCPC at the mo). Only once that was done could I get the Powerstrip settings to "stick".

Indeed, telling Windows that you have one of those monster sony widescreens such as the FW-900 will let you hold the resolution selected in Powerstrip.
From System/Device Manager in Control Panel, manually change the driver for you monitor to Sony Coporation - GDM-W900.
