I have just got a Pioneer DVR-420H, and encountered the following:- When recording/playing, there is a constant noise (presumably) from the HDD; though not loud, it is audible from normal viewing position (3.5m – 4m away) – is this normal? (The Panasonic E95 I had was only audible up close) When recording/playing, there are random noises (presumably) from the HDD e.g. clicks, ticks, rattles, for want of better descriptions – is this normal? I have a satellite receiver connected from it's TV Scart (RGB) into the 420H L1 Scart (RGB in), then Scart (RGB) out of the 420H into AV1 (RGB) on my TV; when the 420H is switched on (not in standby) everything is fine, but when the 420H is in standby, and the satellite is viewed on loop-through, there are horizontal ‘bleeds' from any on-screen displays from the STB e.g. the volume bar, channel list box etc. – Is this a fault, or have I missed something in the set-up? Also, I have my analogue terrestrial RF feed connected to, and out of, the 420H, then into the TV - when I search on the TV's tuning for the 420H, it doesn't find it i.e. I can't get the 420H tuned in on RF – Should this be possible? TIA.
