Come on peeps I have just taken delivery of a Nokia 6680 on three '3'. I can use Planet '3' fine, but whenever I try to use the Options->Navigation Options->Go to web address and then enter anything such as http://mobile.google.co.uk it also comes up with 'connection error' it has not been possible to connect you to this service.

Is it possible to surf on '3' or can you only use planet '3'?

Cheers,

Ian.

:lease:

sadly you cannot, 3 have ringfenced their data services so you can only use their stuff

Adam,

Great so now this leaves me with the dilema of whether to cancel the phone (still in the 14 day period) and go with Vodafone? The reason I went for '3' was the cheaper calls, not sure how much of an issue the internet access is going to be?

Ian.

Is you phone bluetooth?
If it is you can connect to your computer via bluetooth and connect to the internet there not that portable but means you can surf while sitting on the sofa http://machman.gotdns.com/ this site will give you instructions it works on my A1000 motorola.

I know that I got a friend working for 3 and he can go anywhere on the web with his phone : "he said they took my simcard away and when they gave it back to me it was working". There is a way of doing but still cannot work it out.... I am searching on the net for ages it seems to be a well kept secret so far......

well it seems it can be done, but few people know how.

Ian I guess it depends what you want, cheaper calls stay with 3, net access go Vodafone.

Vodafone are doing Stop the Clock now, which gives you very cheap calls evenings and weekends.
