    Count yourselves lucky boys, due to an accident when I was a kid, I've only got 3 fingers on my left hand and 2 on my right (the biggest problem is that I'm right handed) so sometimes when my girlfriend works nights I have to make sure she's got a disc out the box for me before she leaves otherwise I can't watch a film. It's not too much of a problem with an easily extracted disc, but the stiffer ones just leave me really frustrated. I never had problems like this with vinyl albums and CDs. Sometimes it's enought to make me wish I'd bought a LD player instead!

    Still, what doesn't kill us makes us stronger...

    I just got my copy of MiB (2 Disk Set) and am worried about the cases.

    It was very difficult to get the DVD off the spindle.. I pulled the DVD at the edges and
    at one point, it was almost bent through 90 degrees! I am surprised it didn't snap!

    Normally you can push the centre of the spindle, but on these types cases you can't. You just have to pull the disk!

    Why have they made them so tight? CDs have been around for decades and no one has problems getting them out of cases.. Why have they re-invented the wheel?

    I wish mine had been that tight !
    When mine arrived in the post yesterday the disc was detached from the spindle and "floating about" inside the case ...
    Fortunately there were no marks on the disc ...
    Anyway I know where you're coming from - some of the discs need a crowbar to remove them - whilst others are too loose ...
    Still at least you don't need petrol to watch them [IMG]

    Sort of sussed it...

    Put the case on the floor, grab the disk at the edges and push HARD on the centre spindle..

    This way the case bends, rather than the CD. Its not pretty, but atleast you arn't going to damage anything..

    Nice design!

    damn, that case was obviously designed by some LD-loving/DVD-hating nut

    problem solved;

    swap the case with that crappy stargate (tv series) 2-disc one...jesus,never going to watch that one again anyway
