How are you connecting it to your source? How long have you noticed these lines?

    It´s connected with a S-Video Cable...
I have also tried without the cable with no improvements...

The lines becomes stronger when the projector has been in use for aprox... 3 hours...

It's difficult to say, this is a fairly old model and it could be down to something as simple as age. have you knocked or dropped it at all? Maybe it's the prism alignment or a convergence problem. If it does it on all inputs ( S-Video, component, VGA and composite then I think it's time to ditch it and upgrade as to repair it would not be economically viable. Sorry!

Hi, i ´ve got the same one, i just signed in at this forum here, just for you... :smoke:

Do you have a tv near the beamer?
I just ask, cause i had vertical lines, too.
They moved from top to the bottom.
As i removed the tv-cable from the wall, the lines disappeared. :smashin:
Vertical lines should be a cable problem anyway.

Sorry for my bad english, my last school lesson is about 13 years ago.... :lesson: :thumbsdow

If you have any further questions, write an email.
By the way, the VPL - s 500 sometimes got some problems with overheating.
Did you clean it from dusk? Did you try to change the color-temperature, when your problem occurs?
