Bloody thing
I've two Sky boxes coming from my dish. A newish Sony which is fine and a 5-6 year old Amstrad that isn't receiving a signal;
4 Days ago during the worst of the weather it started going a bit crappy - breaking up etc.
3 Days ago, most channels were gone except BBC1, ITV + Channel 4 and a few others (couple of film channels etc.)
2 Days ago, down to just BBC1
Yesteday gone
I've tried all the on/off crap, LNB stuff etc. My signal quality got progressivley worse, through the days, down to 0 now. Strength has been better and now jumps between 0 and full.
All connections are fine, I had a look at the dish and noticed that one of the feeds there was a little bit of 'fluffy' wire coming out from under the bottom of the electrical tape covering the connection and wondered if that could be causing it?
I haven't tried swapping boxes yet, but that was gonna be my next step, so I could disregard the cables and know it was just the box.
Any ideas on what the prob might be or what i could do to fix it???
