Problem with Sanus VLT5-B2 mount

Novice Member
I just bought a Sanus VLT5-B2 tilting mount for my 50inch Samsung TV, and I'm a bit worried it won't be secure enough. The brackets that attach to the TV clip onto the wall mount OK, but when they are clipped on, the bottom clip hardly overlaps with the frame of the wall mount. So I can pull the brackets off the mount again without having to pull the strings that release the clips.
Has anyone else had this issue?
I can't see anyway to adjust the brackets to make the clips tighter, and using different bolts/spacers etc. to attach the brackets to the TV wouldn't make any difference.
I don't know if I'm doing something wrong, if I've got a dodgy mount or it's supposed to be like that and it will somehow be more secure when it is on the wall.
