Hi, I'm new to the forum.

I have a 2 year old Monitor Audio i-deck which has developed a problem when playing back music from my i-pod. I have check my i-pod on my mates i-deck and it is fine.

the problem seems to be with the plug/socket that the i-pod sits on, it seems to be loose and causes any one of the following problems :

1. it doesn't play any music at all
2. it only plays music in mono
3. it makes a horendous high pitched note
4. it will only play in stereo if I wedge something behind the i-pod to hold it at a funny angle

Has anyone else had a similar problem?

Does anyone know where I could get this kind of issue looked at or fixed in the Chelmsford , Essex area?

Cheers Charlie

Have also got an i-deck but haven't got this problem.

Have noticed on a few reveiws on other sites of people having a problem with the connector breaking.

I feel the only way to see if it can be repaired is to contact monitor audio directly (http://www.monitoraudio.co.uk/main.php).
Unfortunately there is no direct contact telephone number for them.

Also it seems hard to get hold of a new unit (anyone know of anywhere as a few people are impressed with mine that they all want one now...!!??)
