Hope someone can help me i have had my Mezzo`s for 2 months running of a denon 1907, Today i was listening to music when the woofer died in one of them i was not playing them very loud -10db on the volume and the range is -80db to 15db and had no distortion at all very nice and crisp sound my question is if i take them back will they just say speaker blown due to asking too much of them and just say clipping or some other misuse would of caused this. I am no expert and have used as much info as i could from these forums regarding setup so really at lost to why this happened regarding some think i did, could it just be a faulty woofer?

I have also tested the woofer internal terminals and have no resistance across the terminals.
These speakers have only been pushed once at around 0db a week ago with no distortion/clipping and not for long just wanted to see what it sounded like
:lease:

Take them back to the dealer - I'm sure it won't be a problem - they have a guarantee, use it :) I'm sure they won't make a fuss.

Problem with the guarantee is it clearly says not covered for blown speaker`s due to misuse, surely this means its my word against dealers/manufacture.

I bought them from Richer Sounds and have been told they are very good with issues like this HOPE SO

If you were not playing them loud, and you tell them that, what more can you do than be honest?

I'm sure they'll sort it :)
