Last week I purchased this JVC camcorder. In bright light (sunlight) it appears to work perfectly - no problems. As soon as I take it indoors, away from very bright light, everything appears very, very dark as if the exposure is wrong. I am not trying to record in pitch black, just under normal conditions inside a house with the lights on. For example, I was sat in my house with the main light on trying to record yet the viewfinder shows it as almost being pitch black. Can anyone suggest whether this is a faulty camcorder, and what it could be? I have tried on both auto and manual and adjusted all settings, so I am sure it is not a setting as I even reset the camera to factory defaults.
