My iH40 has locked up. I was sitting there listening to it last night and suddenly the sound stopped and the screen froze up. Has anybody else had this problem? I wonder if it will clear when the battery runs out.

Do you have a reset button on your H140? I have an iRiver H320 which has a reset button you have to press with a pin under the mic. Never used it but should help. I'd check the manual first as I dont know what that actually does. I doubt it will format the hard disk. Hope this helps.

In the end, I let the battery run out and ten re-charged it and it seems OK now. It may be worth emailing I-river about it though incase it happens again after the warranty has run out....
