My 9800 All in Wonder does not want to let me use the TV tuner functions.

All I can access is the video in and capture settings from within ATI Multimedia Center, all the tv tuner options are non-existent.

I've checked all the drivers and everything is installed, including the device driver for the philips TV Tuner module on the card.

    What gives???

Is there any other TV tuner software out there or do I have to use the very poor ATI stuff.

I had the exact same problem, it occurs with direct X 9.0b I think, one of the updates microsoft made to it anyway. It breaks the tuner part of many video capture cards (only non NTSC ones for some reason ??), they have a fix described for it here http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;825116 but you cant actually download it from them, hmm, useful.

You could try googling for the file or contacting microsoft, another way of fixing it is copying the file Kstvtune.ax from an older version of DirectX9.0 (I used one from 9.0a which came with a game).

    Hope this helps

    Big thanks amordue.

Everything fits together with what you and microsoft have said - I'm running Windows XP with DX9.0b installed.

Will find the file and download it and then let you know how it went.
