Problem viewing video online

I'm using 32-bit windows 7. I recently changed from Windows XP where I never had problems viewing anything on youtube, now though the framerate is awful, it never seems to go higher than 5-6 fps, it's not a problem with the buffering because I've loaded whole videos before playing them and it makes no difference.

Playing downloaded videos or the sample videos is fine, the problem only happens when viewing online.

Make sure you have the latest video drivers from the manufacturer and not Windows update. And make sure you have the latest version of Flash installed.

Got the latest flash and the video card I'm using is new, bought around a month ago, with it came a disc with the drivers and they're all installed. I got updates from the manufacturers website aswell and it's no better.

One interesting point, sites like youtube seem to lag and have low framerates but other sites (Video Game Trailers for Wii, PSP, Xbox, PS3 & More | Upcoming Video Games) for example run perfectly with a normal framerate.

Ignore the manufacturer video drivers they are often way behind what they should be. Get your drivers straight from nvidia or amd depending on what card you have.
