problem plasma?

hi to all,i would like an answer to my plasma problem,over the last month when you go and turn the tv on it takes for an age to get the screen to come on,is this a known problem with plasma? can it be fixed?how? its a 42" samsung ps42p4ax/xeu about 2 yrs old.thanks to all who reply.

its not a known issue with the technology but may be with your model, PSU's are often the culprit how long is long? 10 sec or 10min?

My LG plasma started to take ages to switch on (one of the many faults). In the end I swapped this for a Samsung LCD best thing I could have done.

it,s around 10min-15min sometimes longer

It's on the way out, unfortunately. I have a client with a 4 yr old HDE pioneer, doing the same thing. It's gradually taking longer every time I see it. One day it won't come on at all.

also is there any plasma tv repair people out there as mine is a little over 2 yrs old and not under warranty any more?
