Hi All
What have I done ? firstly I live in Malaga Spain 1.3 m dish foxsat hdr I had a problem with one input as it had a joint in the cable lnb 1 70% strength 80 quality 2 input 60% 65% so put a new cable in now 20% and 75 quality checked connectors OK swapped over cables same problem so what have I done ???

I agree it's very hard to define what happened after the new cable was installed.

Question

When the two cables are swapped does the poor signal follow the cable or remain with the tuner ?

What happens if the two cables are swapped at the lnb ?

What coax cable was used for the replacement cable and how long is it ?

No change if swapped stays on tuner 2
lnb not changed (invercomb quad)
if I change the leads over on the inputs I still get
Tuner 1 strength 90 quality 90
tuner 2 strength 20 quality 90
Put coax onto a different output on lnb but no change

Did you touch any connections while the receiver was connected to mains power? If you did, you may have short-circuited the LNB power supply and caused damage inside the receiver.

Do not think so but it was raining it still works but only shows 20% power would it show that if shorted???

this morning after 7 days at 20% power shot up to 90% ????
