Problem getting xbox sound on Phillips HD TV

Hi newboy here,

sorry if this has been asked many times before but I have a new Phillips 32 inch Cineos HD tv and an xbox 360.

Just got a new HD av cable for the xbox.

The visual side connects perfectly to the red/blue/green on the back of the tv but the audio is where i'm having trouble. The xbox cable has two audio plugs (red and white) but the TV only has asmall headphone like jack input beside the r/b/g...

neither red or white will fit into it.....

what am i to do ??

any help would be most appreciated

thanks in advance

I would of thought that was the headphone socket rather than a mic type input.

Does your tv have an optical in?

Thought about connecting your 360 to your stereo/surround amp?
