Problem forcing resolution to Samsung via ATI CCC

Active Member
Having a strange issue. My HTPC has always been connected to my Samsung LE32R87BD via HDMI, using ATI catalyst control center to 'force' the PC to output the panel's native res, 1366 x 768 @50hz. I've now connected it through my spanking new Onkyo 607 (via HDMI) and now I can only force either the resolution or the refresh rate, not both together (i.e. I can have 1280x720 @50hz or 1360x768 @30hz interlaced).

Apparently I cannot alter any settings on the amp, and it is set to pass-through. Anyone got an idea why I can't force the right setting and where this 30hz interlaced has appeared from?

not sure on your setup but my Onkyo 605 is not allowing me to pass through 24hz. Direct to my PJ is fine, but through the Onkyo and it's doesn't work. Forced 24hz on my Sony BD works fine. I guess the EDID in the Onkyo doesn't have 24Hz  maybe it doesn't have your resolutions either...
