I'm trying to make an automation in Home kit that will use the motion sensor on my Ecobee camera to cycle my Hue smart bulbs on and off. In my basement I have two Hue smart light bulbs. I can set them both to turn on when my Ecobee camera detects motion (when I enter the room). But if I set another automation to turn the smart light bulbs off when motion is no longer detected (i.e., when I leave the room) there is a major problem. As soon as the automation to turn off the light bulbs switches the bulbs off, the camera sensor detects motion and immediately turns the lights back on. This results in the lights rapidly cycling on and off. Does anyone have a suggestion to solve this? Or is it just not possible to use the Ecobee camera motion sensor in this situation? Thanks.
