Hi all, are there any Blu-Rays which modern Blu-Rays have difficulty playing. My Panasonic BD220 seems to have a problem with Iron Man 2, sometimes never getting passed the language selection window, and on Tin Tin the movie just freezes some 1 hour 20 mins into the film, a then eventually judders back to life after missing some twenty seconds of action. Any one else know of any discs that can cause problems - or more importantly any fixes?

Firmware is up to date too btw ;)

I use a PS3 and have only ever had trouble with Prometheus 2D, out of a couple of hundred discs, including Iron Man 2. It would load slowly occasionally, and just leave a blank screen. Worked eventually though.

Many thanks for the tips :smashin:

Although, how do I clear the cache on the Blu-Ray player SD card? I'll have a look in the depths of the Menu for the BD Live - I think I recall seeing it buried in the there somewhere.

If you can't find it in the manual/menus, don't forget you can always just stick it in your PC (if you have a reader/camera of some kind) & reformat the card:smashin:

Hi Hippo99. I'e located the BD Live and turned it off in the menu preferences, and re-formated the SD card, but the same result persists - on Iron Man 2 I just to get as far as the language selection and then the disc / player freezes at that point. I can get it to play - but only once after I power down the whole AV system - f I try to replay the disc it just freezes at the same point...! The Iron Man 2 Blu Ray is a Triple Play pack and I have registered the digital copy and download it to iTunes. Any ideas as its really frustrating !

Never had any trouble on my older and newer Sony's. Game of Thrones played up once I think but whatever it was, it went away. And the Alien set acted a bit strange once - I think it was the Aliens disc but again, no problems after that.

Have a problem with Thor that plays OK on 2 other players but sticks at on point on my Panasonic.
I rang Panasonic and the more or less blamed the disc and said the player that good its picking faults up on the disc, they did say try upgrading the software which at the time was up to-date. There was an upgrade last week and the disc is even worse at the problem point.

This problem still persists and I haven't found a way round it as yet - anyone else had the same issue and stumbled upon a fix?
