I'm new to all of this so perhaps somebody can help. We had our Panasonic TV stolen after we were burgled. Before it was stolen it all worked fine. SKY HD box, Apple TV and BOSE 321 system linked up well. All sound came through the BOSE speakers. Had the TV volume on mute.
New TV is a Panasonic TX-50DX750. Only the TV was stolen so we still had all the cables as they were and plugged in before. I plugged the HDMI cables in to the new TV. However, we only have sound from the BOSE system when we watch Sky, but only get sound from the TV speakers when we use the Apple TV or the Bose DVD player (no sound through BOSE speakers).
Can somebody help and perhaps list the best way to set these devices up. Currently I have the Sky box audio out running to the BOSE. I was wondering should we have the TV audio out connected to the BOSE so that all sound from the external devices will play through the BOSE?
Also would love to know the best way to set these up so we get the best quality picture and sound with the setup we have. Slightly unsure if HDMI is the best was and is digital audio better for sound etc. As I said I'm new to all of this so go easy !!
Any help much appreciated. Thanks in advance.
