pro logic on telewest digital

    i have digital cable,but the sound is awful,cant get pro logic from movies etc.
    what sound does ondigital use,mpeg2 or what.?

    All digital tv sources use mpeg2 audio...

    i assume the problem with telewest is that the pro-logic signal is not being used(or sent) or that during the encoding of the audio the pro-logic data is being stripped off (removed by the encoders) for some reason, pro-logic on sky seems ok.

    I don't know about NTL...

    Unfortunalty the Sat/Cable companies missed the boat by not including DolbyDigital into the settop boxes :mad: - whereas they have DD in the USA on cable/sat...

    P.S. it could be your set-top box & or your local feed causing the problem, I would contact them and cause a fuss, as all these companies are lazy B******S.

    For what it's worth, NTL do give Prologic or something that is the same as, i.e. rear channel mono.

    Sounds pretty good too!
