    I have just recieved my new SR5200 amp, c/w Dolby Prologic II. It sounds great. But just one question.

    I thought that any amp with PLII music mode had to have an option of adjusting the centre width and surround effect. There is no mention in the Instruction manual (but what a load of crap that is!)

    Does anyone know if there is a way of altering this?

    I agree Justy101, just checked my Denon AV11SR and it has panorama, dimension and centre width adjustments etc.

    Why don't you try the manufactures website for more info?

    Regards

    Eddie:)

    Justy,
    The parameters that you mention refer to the Dolby Pro Logic II Music Mode; they are not available when you are in Cinema mode*. I am not familiar with your particular amp, but is there a way of switching between the Cinema and Music modes? (also, there may be a Pro Logic emulation mode too – uses the vintage Pro Logic system.)

    As soon as I receive my AVC-A1SR I will be itching to see just how good the Pro Logic II system sounds! Heard a lot of good about it but I've never actually heard it.
    Mark

    * = At least i don't think they are.

    MarkB is correct, (at least for Denons) these parameters are only available in Music Mode (I checked in my printed 3802 User Guide I keep here at work, it can come in handy).
    Also, I think you'll like PLII, great improvement over plain PL.
    Just wish I could have stretched to the AVC-A1SR but that was beyond my budget...

    The amp has both movie and music PLII modes, but i can't find any adjustments on the music mode.

    Does sound quite good though.
