Hi, I'm resurrecting this old thread to ask if the Acrylic platter can be used on the project Classic TT. Also, has anyone tried the sub platter upgrade, did it bring about any improvements....thanks.

Thanks for the advice, I'm thinking of Judy giving the metal Sub Platter a go and maybe the clamp.

I found the biggest upgrade to be the acrylic platter - the reason being, the stylus is seeing a more consistent density of material. Harmonics were altogether better - more natural.

The sub platter helps with speed control as there's more rotating mass.

The clamp is great if you have records that are warped - it does flatten it to the surface of your platter which in turn, reduces peaks in volume as the stylus suspension isn't working as hard
