    Hi chaps

sorry, but I just can't come to call the beautiful game 'soccer' - it's football, played with your feet.

    Anyway, end of rant...

I have just ordered PE(f) 3 for the PS2, from the Tesco site - 27 quid including delivery with the vat free deal they are currently doing. Anyway, is there any posibility of one of the UK magazines providing a cover disk with all of the correct team and player names ? It annoys me that I will have to change the details in order to make Roy Keane hack Viera to bits - but you have to do it for comedy value.

I don't really want to buy the add on disk advertised on play as this also unlocks all of the levels and because I am tight.

Has anyone any views on this ?

    ...oh, and no bickering...

    Cheers

I changed a few got Bored and gave up.

The game is too easy on 1 Star Difficulty
    Tricky on 2 Star
    Hard on 3 Stars

and 5 Stars is the same as 3 stars !!

I mean on 3 Stars I had Vassell Chasing Di Canio up the wing and Di canio streaking away !!
Come on - a bit of realism please !!

Thank goodness for the one touch passing and shooting though.
This was lacking in Pro Evo 1 and makes for some cracking Goals.

I've played this in 60hz and its still slow and unresponsive compared to WE7, 50hz is just ridiculous!

Get your PS2 chipped mate and grab a patched copy ASAP!

I think it's pretty much identical to WE7. (I've only ever played in 60hz mode, btw)

but patched copy has advantage of full player rosters and real names of stadiums/players.

Crespo in Chelsea, Mcmanaman in Man city etc. Plus its faster, although shooting is more difficult to setup. Also it doesnt have that wicked flick up move PES3 has.

Don't get me started on the ref's...last night i went in for a 50-50. Both players were head on, both slid in, I clearly got the ball (checked on the action replay) and got sent off. Unbelievable. And the goalies are pants too.

Apart from that it is the best footie game ever. When I first got it I thought it wasn;t that much different from 2, but once you get into it, it's a major improvement

Can echo Bob Mushroom's comments about gamefaqs.com being an excellent source of roster info, some people have put a lot of work into that and you can then have proper names but yes, you will need to find some spare time to type it into your game manually.

    Lo there,

Don't buy the update disk as it's pants. All it does is change the player names, it still leaves the stats, looks etc of the player they renamed.

A better bet is to get a Xport (17.99 from play). That way you can download an options file which has all the correct names, stats, teams, stadiums etc.

I bought my Xport a couple of weeks ago specifically for Pro Evo, and it's the best thing I've done in reacent times.

Either that or you could wait till the end of the month when Pro Evo will appear on PC :) Then just download all the updates that people put out and get real strips etc.

Has anyone else experienced the bug that makes the player you are in control of and has the ball run in one direction and you just can do anything about it?

With 5 mins to go England were 1 up against Portugal. I won the ball in my own penalty area and the computer took over and ran the ball into my own goal!! To say my two friends (who were also playing and were on my side) were disappointed with me would be a slight understatement.... until it started happing to them.

anyone else experiencing the stutter bug?
i only got my copy yesterday and there is a stutter in the gamplay every 30 seconds or so. it ruins any continuity in a match and i am seriuosly considering returning the disc for a refund as there seems to be no way around it.

    thanks
