Just wanted to comment on this (apparent) price discrepancy....

The November issue of What Home Cinema feature reviews of the
Sony RDR-HXD910 and Panasonic DMR-EH60D recorders. Their test placed the Sony just fractionally above the Panny.

The prices in the magazine were £500 (Sony) and £550 (Panasonic).

Today on Pricerunner the best prices are £628 (Sony) and £399 (Panasonic)!

Am I missing something or was the mag wrong on the Sony price? If it was, and it only managed to win the test by a fraction, it shows what good value the Panny appears to be.

The 910 is £700 in Sony stores, IIRC. They're probably mixing the price up with the 510 model which is £500 SRP.
£550 is the SRP of the Panasonic, but it's not surprising to see the discount to entice buyers to jump onto the DVDR bandwagon.
If they couldn't get enough of them to satiate demand, the price would reflect that.
