I have a UPVC front door with a 46x26 inch, double glazed window in it and has a lead design on it. It was in when I moved into the house an find it a right pain (no pun intended) to clean, and was thinking of getting a different design as it is a very uninspiring design.
Last week I noticed that the window has blown and it is getting condensation inside so though it is time to think about getting a new one more to my liking.

I have seen some very nice front door windows with stained glass depicting animals or birds which I like the only thing wrong, although themselves not having lead on them they have had lead in a diamond pattern round them to fill the rest of the space which I do not want. On the other hand just having the animal/bird design would not look good on its own.

Any ideas for a design(sensible please) in this line and does anyone know what prices I would be looking at?

What does the house & area look like? It would need to be in context with the surroundings. One of our neighbours has a sailing boat on their glass - and we live miles from any navigatable water.

Firstly you will need the lead to cover the joins between the different colours, so firstly state which town or area you live in.

Then I will be able to prod you in the right direction.

I have good places for Glasgow and London off the top of my head, and can easily find out if any of the north west or Yorkshire customers will be of use.

Most of out customers churn out sealed units by the thousand but some are specialists in stained glass.

How artistic are you - could you paint your own design onto a new sealed unit? I am sure the craft shop you point you in the direction of suitable paints
