    Hello, folks. :)

I am considering on selling my Sony 11HT LCD projector due to financial reasons. :(

It's about 2 years old, but I have not used it over a year. It's still on its first lamp, and as far as I remember lamp timer indicated 600 hours last time I checked about a year ago.

What's the reasonable price I should aim for ?

    Cheers.

Yours sounds like mine in that it is very low mileage.
    Mine is actually even lower.

Anyway, I offered mine up for sale a while back here for £1350 I think, and didn't get any offers.
The problem is that the new Sony HS20 is available new for about £1900 and has a better spec.

It's a real shame, but the VW11's don't seem to fetch much on the 2nd hand market and they are still good projectors.
In the end I decided to keep mine and I'm quite glad I did.

I hope you have better luck.

Be very careful selling something expensive on eBay.

You will get lots of off eBay interest from across Euorpe.

Ignore them. Or insist they use eBay's recommended escrow (then they will disappear.).

Sadly after trading on the internet forever I was still stupid enough to be taken in late last year and lost big time. At that point I only got the one convincing offer and fell hook line and sinker.

Selling a projector a couple of weeks ago I got the same thing, from LOTs of different people, from over 8 countries...

    Cheers
    Marc

    uczmeg,

thanks for your advice regarding ebay. It really helps since I've never used ebay before. I'll take a note of that.

Sorry to hear about your loss last year.

    Cheers.

    No problem, and thanks.

If you have never used eBay before you will have no rating so I'm afraid your chances of getting a good price on an expensive item are low.

Genuine buyers are very wary of buying expensive good from people with little to no feedback.

    Good luck!

    Cheers
    Marc
