Yeah no bother, it's just the West Yorkshire accent, only 50% more irritating.
This might help:
What concerns me is why Larry Cohen, labour mp would report it to the press. This was in a private meeting between collegues, it kinda sounds like backstabbing to me. Anyway for once he was talking sense if you ask me.
Going by the name.... perhaps he's an overzealous member of Labour Friends of Israel
- I'll check it out
EDIT - I take that back, he's not a member, perhaps he wanted to expose cabinet divsions at the highest level
I have nothing but the deepest respect for John "'ere love, show us yer knickers" Prescott. A true statesman.
This goes on all the time, especially with Nu Lab. At the least Prescott was trying to appease certain Labour MPs. He may well have said it so that it would be leaked while publicly denying it.
Just a couple of weeks back a New Statesman journalist said cabinet members were telling him, off the record, that they disagreed with Blair's foreign policy.
The Blair ship is sinking and those closest to Blair are trying to keep their career options open.
Don't trust any of them.
I'd be happy to think that Prescott has said this, as I totally agree with him
Ditto that! to Prescott.
Most true words that Prescott has ever said
I've been thinking about Iraq and have come up with a solution for them. What they need to do is to rename their country and take the "Q" off the end of it, then the Americans will be happy to support and fund any terrorsist activities they may have planned
He went up in my estimations.................. And then he denied it...............
