Bike messenger thriller starring Joseph Gordon-Levitt makes its high-def debut

Two-time Golden Globe nominee Joseph Gordon-Levitt had a great 2012 with both Looper and The Dark Knight Rises and this year he delivers some pulse-pounding excitement in the action-packed thriller PREMIUM RUSH. The film is released by Sony Pictures Home Entertainment and comes to Blu-ray and DVD with UltraViolet on the 25th of February. The film also stars Academy Award nominee Michael Shannon (Best Supporting Actor, Revolutionary Road, 2008), Jamie Chung (Suckerpunch), and Dania Ramirez (American Reunion). The film is directed by David Koepp (Jurassic Park) and was written by David Koepp and John Kamps and was produced by Gavin Polone.

Dodging speeding cars, crazed cabbies and eight million cranky pedestrians is all in a day’s work for Wilee (Joseph Gordon-Levitt), the best of New York’s agile and aggressive bicycle messengers. It takes a special breed to ride the fixie - super lightweight, single-gear bikes with no brakes and riders who are equal part skilled cyclists and nutcases who risk becoming a smear on the pavement every time they head into traffic. But a guy who’s used to putting his life on the line is about to get more than even he is used to when his last envelope of the day - a routine “premium rush” run - turns into a life or death chase through the streets of Manhattan.
