Just ordered it from DS, like £5.50 or something. Been looking for the first one for under £7.99 (the max I pay for non boxsets) for ages so I got that as well for £5.88.

I would have thought they would have released a set with them both in, but apparently not yet :(

I've never been exciting by companies putting dts tracks on older films, I have never found one that has anything like the intensity of those on modern titles.

oh dont get me wrong, it's no lord of the rings, but for a movie that was originally created in 2.0 stereo (i think) it feels very impressive, with huge bass on the explosions and full surround effects whenever you're seeing in pred-o-vision, i even heard bits i'd never heard before. It's definitely a cut above a lot of the 5.1 remixes i've heard, like the bloody awful one on the R2 highlander DVD which didnt appear to actually have any bass or surround effects.
With this Pred2 DVD, it really all started for me when the 20th century fox logo came on and the accompanying tune sounded better than i'd ever heard it before, coming out of all 5 speakers and the sub. It definitely moves the movie experience up a few notches for what is essentially a pretty average movie.

Afraid that R2 Boxset doesnt contain the same version of Predator 2 that is being discussed in this thread.
I guess if you dont care much about extras or DTS then the Boxset is ok but I think most people want the best release of the films and that is the 2 Disc Editions.

got it for even less with the 20% off , its a quality film , always thought it was good , its a masterpiece compared to that joke AvP !!

One big reason to buy this film : Gary Busey !!!!!!!!!!!

Its almost worth the price alone for some of the crackers he comes out with on the documentary !
