when u do a pre order on amazon do you get it on day of release like play.com or do you have to wait a few days?

just a guy at work was wondering the fact he would save £20 if he pre orders star wars lego i would wait a few days.

At the release of the 360 I ordered 2 games from Amazon (PDZ LE and Condemned) and one arrived 3 days before the release of the machine, and one arrived on the day of the consoles release. Unless they've changed their practices you SHOULD have it on launch day.

They used to be pretty good but these days most pre-orders arrive after day of release, although the new express delivery helps prevent that.

I've never been fussed about delivery time though (within reason) and always tend to prefer amazon because of the excellent customer service and typically low prices. At least with them you always know hwere you stand. Shame they no longer send out Xmas pressies though!

Aye, I'm going to take a uss that you got Condemned first. As this was actually released in the UK on November 28th 2005. A bit Irish I know, releasing a game before the console.

Yeah, it was. Condemned was released before the console everywhere. I think Kameo was also released early, but now we're just going OT.

I've had two games from Amazon so far. One was received on the day of release, while the other was received the next day. Both were ordered using their Super-Saver (free delivery) option.

Last item I pre-ordered I used the free shipping option and the game arrived on release day but I guess things could have changed since then.
