R1's from Play get caught more frequently now, so I would get it from another supplier.

DVD Soon have it for CAN $58.98, plus whatever shipping option you choose. I chose the $4.98 option, making the total about £28. They mark every package $12, so you won't get caught by customs.

Should say less likely to get caught by customs - they can open packages at their discresion - and remember that they mark $12 per item sor if you order 4 in 1 package, that $48 - more than £18.

Right, but surely if the package is marked $12, even if customs decide to open it, there's no documentation inside to say it cost more, so how would they know that's not what you paid for it? They would have to prove it, I would think, before making any claims for additional charges.

Yes, each pack is marked individually, which is why you should only place one item per order. You don't save anything worthwhile in shipping costs by combining orders with Soon, and, in fact, your order could be delayed if one or more items in a combined order are not in stock.

So you're telling me if I had ordered the 3-disc Deluxe edition of Black Hawk Down (R1) from DVD Soon, I would not have to have just paid the £8.02 import duty on it which was orderd from play.com?

I see that DVDSoon has this at about £27. Well to be exact they have 4 of these! Which one do I order? One is marked as THX, they all seem to have 1.33:1 pan and scan ratio's. Does this set have both w/s and 4:3 versions in the same box or do you have to order a specific version?

well seeing as they've listed two seperate discs - one french one English I would expect not to see a dual version. why go to the expense when they already are producing a french cover.

errr, don't play.com guarantee that you won't have to pay for customs charges, and if you do get 'caught', they pay them for you?

Amazon UK have the Indy set up for pre-order at just £28.99 = £30.45 inc p&p. Good price for the R2 edition if you're after it - I've put my order in as there's plenty of time to find out if the UK Temple of Doom will still be cut.

If it is cut, it's easy enough to cancel from Amazon and order the R1.

R2 for me. I'd rather have the cut version of TOD, plus I prefer PAL.

No risk of any import duty either.

Puddleduck. I forgot to add shipping :suicide: Everywhere I buy from includes it and I saw the free shipping tag which obviously only applies to Canada addresses, and presumed it was free from amazon as well. My mistake.

I'm hoping the R4 will be the uncut TOD, otherwise it's R1 for me. The uncut version is a lot better IMO.
