Excuse my lack of understanding of video output on a laptop, as i dont actually own one yet.

Anyway...

My A321 TV has a native res of 1366x768.
Currently i use powerstrip to force a res of 1360x768, whioch looks great :)

But how would this work with a laptop?
Can the video card in a laptop output at a diff res to the res its using on the laptop screen.

i.e. say i have my laptop at 1280x1024, but i want to use powerstrip to make it output at 1360x768 from the VGA port.

I'm sure that that will make sense.

If you know the answer anyway

Buy a laptop with a reasonably new video card from ati or nvidia. The drivers for these cards should let you use a large number of different resolutions so you won't need to worry about powerstrip or supported reses. Even a budget chipset will do fine so it shouldn't add much to the price.
