    Hi,
I got myself a new 37" Viera and I'm very impressed.

One slight niggle however is that I cant get the unit to power up on a control signal. I got used to pressing the SKY button and my old TV powering up from standby - can I emulate this on my new plasma?

The GF wont appriciate a two stage switch on!!

I thought of using a sky macro - but dont think this will work as you need to hold down the standby key to power on..

    Any suggestions greatfully received!!

    Thanks

    Jonathan

Attempted this myself - there is a toggle in the set-up to set which device should be dominant when switching on i.e. the TV or AV. You've tried this?

I just leave the skybox on permanently. I've had it since they first came out and it hasn't played up so far.
Plus it feeds 5 other tv's through the house and one could be in use anyway.

    Thanks for replying Guys!
the TV/AV option will select AV when you power the TV on - It doesnt however turn
the TV on from standby when the control signal is sent from sky+
I could leave sky on - I'd rather not though (with it being sky+) I like to power down my stuff at night.

The panel does seem to go blank when I turn sky off - I'm not sure though if its a good idea to leave the Viera on?
