Saw a thread about power consumption and it made me curious about my xde. Looked on the Pioneer site and it uses 295 display and 41 receiver watts .

Have people noticed a significant increase in their electric bills since buying a plasma?

Having checked on the only CRT device in my house, an old 20", it uses 95w. As a 32" widescreen must use at least twice that, I doubt there is a huge difference between plasma and big widescreen CRT power consumption. Of course media boxes use power too, perhaps we should all buy panels on environmental grounds?
