I am considering buying Hitachi 42PD3000. Unfortunately the prices and availability here in Finland are really miserable, so ordering from a UK-based company might be a good idea. However, as the power lead plugs in UK are different from Euro-standard, I'd like to know, what to expect.
Can anybody with 32PD3000 or 42PD3000 tell me, whether the power cables (both in the display and in the tuner box) are detachable so that I can replace the whole cables or do I have to be prepared to change the plugs or use an adaptor of some kind. Thanks.

    Hi Antti,

I have a 32PD3000 and can confirm that both cables are detachable, although for some reason they mark with white sleeving the one that should be used for the panel, so it may have some special characteristics.

    Cheers, Peter

Peter, thanks for the information! Detachable cables are very handy, now I have all my options open.
