I'm just about to complete the building work to make my plasma install neat and tidy. I have managed to keep the power cable separated from the component, VGA and speaker leads... with the exception of the lead from my rear left speaker (it has to run through the same conduit as the power cable unfortunately).

The power cable I'm using is a Maplin's 5m special (Mark Grant kindly made up one of his top notch leads for me but the wattgate wouldn't fit) so it's unshielded.

The speaker cable in question is silver anniversary - also unshielded.

    1. Does it matter that they will be running paralell and on top of each other along a 2 metre run (this is only a surround channel after all).

    2. Can I insulate either cable with some form of shielding and where do I buy this shielding from?

    That's all.

    Thanks in advance... Wilbur
