I'm thinking of getting one of these (finally) but I've just got a query about the power lead. A while back I saw one advertised and I am sure that it said it included "the orginal tag power cord", however one I've recently seen advertised (2nd hand) says it just has a standard kettle lead.

Does anyone know as I can't find the first advert anymore? In fact does any TAG kit actually come with an upgraded power lead?

    Thanks.

Well, the one that came with mine was like the one that comes with all TAG stuff - good basic quality, but nothing special. I replaced it with Kimber.

Without wanting to set off the whole cable debate again, theres very little to be gained by using anything other than the supplied mainslead.

Aye, I'm of the same opinion, but just wanted to check I was getting everything I should be.

A "kettle lead" is just another often used term for the standard mains IEC lead that TAG supply, the days of those bright orange curly "kettle" leads are hopefully long since over....... I believe Kettles were one of the first devices to actually use the new style IEC connector so I suppose the name just stuck?
